About Us

The Westmoreland Central School District is located in Westmoreland; a small, rural community located in Central New York between the cities of Utica and Rome and just off the New York State Thruway (Exit 32).

Along with serving the children of Westmoreland, the district serves students from parts of six other neighboring municipalities: Rome, Whitestown, Vernon,  Kirkland, Clinton and Lowell.

The district's roughly 1,000 students attend school in one of three buildings which, together, make up the school campus: a PK-2 Primary Elementary School, a 3-6 Upper Elementary School and a 7-12 Jr./Sr. High School.

The district has approximately 90 instructional and 80 school-related staff members.
